As one of the top three carriers in the United States, American Airlines operates both domestic and international flight routes, connecting the country to various destinations all across the globe. Since its inauguration in 1930 as American Airways, the airline has incorporated several other carriers under its wings, including Trans World Airlines and Reno Air; and rebranded itself as American Airlines. The airline is also known to hold a significant influence in the establishment of LaGuardia Airport, which is home to American Airline’s Admirals Club, one of the world’s pioneer lounge services provided by a carrier. Other bases of the airline are JFK Airport in New York, and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport where its headquarters now lies. It is also a member of the Oneworld Alliance, and honours partnerships with other prominent names like Qatar Airways and British Airways.
